Very reasonable comment policy. I also appreciate you allowing opposing views. They definitely make for a much more interesting conversation and better user engagement.

Hi Steve, Welcome to The Wonder of Tech! Thanks for your comment. You’re right, conversations are much more interesting when there is more than one point of view. Plus we can learn from those who have other ideas and see the world in a different way.

Very good commenting policy. My suggestion is to add the following to your
policy: Comments allowed only if they add any real value and information to the article itself. For example “nice article.” wouldn’t be allowed. Its good that you’re allowing opposite opinions, as it will only enrich the blog.
One thing I don’t agree is why closing the comments two weeks after the article had been published. For example I found out about this site only now, and many time I comment on interesting posts that had been published a year or two years ago. Hope you reconsider that…

Hi Denis, Welcome to The Wonder of Tech! Thanks for your suggestions. I wish I didn’t have to close comments after two weeks, but because of the number of spam comments I get, I must close comments on my articles. I do value readers’ opinions and would love spammers to just disappear.

Very true, and very good point from Denis. Sometimes i want to ask something important on a specific topic and i can. And i don’t want to do it on the contact section to disturb.. Maybe are more like me, and.. what you gonna do then ?

Hi Gabi, Since you asked so nicely, I have changed the Comment restrictions. I will try allowing comments on all articles for a limited time. If I can keep up with the volume of comments, I will continue this but spammy spammers might have other ideas. We shall see. I adore comments and want to provide readers with an opportunity to leave comments where they want to, but spammers make that difficult when they leave their comments as well.

Thanks for sharing your suggestion here!

I know carolyn, a gravatar is really impoprtant. And with everybody else around you getting it, it gets all the more indispensable. But being an introvert has its own problems, and I feel exteremely uncomfortable whenever I am about to get one.

Hi Katie, No worries. A Gravatar is not required to have your comment approved at The Wonder of Tech! Even extroverts may be reluctant to reveal their identities when asking tech questions. You can remain anonymous here without concern.
