Hi Brian, I’m so glad you like these apps. I wasn’t sure whether to do another Super Bowl article this year, but there were so many good apps that I hadn’t covered yet, I decided to go ahead with the article.

Enjoy the game and your apps, Brian!

HI Carolyn, thanks for the great superbowl app round-up. I plan to share them with my husband tonight, who is quite the football junkie. Me, not so much – I watch the game for the commercials! lol

Hi Carol, Thanks for sharing these apps with your hubby. I hope they make Game Day even more fun for him.

You might like the Super Ads app better than the football apps. I used to have a DVR called ReplayTV that you could program to skip over the show and only watch the ads. I bet that feature was only used for Super Bowl games!

Not from the US so I don’t know much about the Super Bowl.
I always hear about it and I always been interested on what the all fuss is about.
But I guess I need to active live first handed the US football culture first.
Even so I’m going to download this year’s Super Bowl and watch the hole thing, you made me very curious.

Carolyn Nicander Mohr February 2, 2013 at 1:03 pm

Hi Christian, Yes, I often wonder what the resto of the world must thing about Super Bowl. When I lived in England, they broadcast the game, but it was on very late so you had to be a truly dedicated fan of US football to stay up to watch it.

I hope you enjoy the game, Christian!

Hi Sanchit, Yes, if you are outside the US, you may wonder what all the fuss is about for the Super Bowl. Trust me, in the US, you would have heard of the Super Bowl. It’s a big deal here, even if you aren’t a football fan and don’t care about the outcome.

The Wonder of Tech can inform about American culture and tech!

Hi Aaron, Very impressive that you already had those two apps! Thos apps can really help fans of NFL football enjoy the game.

Did you enjoy the big game, Aaron? I used Viggle during the game and was in the lead with My Guy until the blackout.

Sorry your team didn’t win, Aaron.

I like the Super Bowl Predictor, you’ll be able to assess the odds of outcomes, get guidance, and see important information that can affect your wagers, like injuries, the best part is, its free. Good post, thanks for sharing.

Carolyn Nicander Mohr February 4, 2013 at 11:26 am

Hi James, Thanks for the suggestion. Did the app accurately predict the outcome of last night’s game?

I still haven’t watched Super Bowl, but I do understand why it’s so much fun to watch. The reason I don’t watch it, is that usually it’s in the middle of the night here in Norway, and I don’t understand the sport (I know some of the rules, but I don’t think that I have watched an entire football game) :-)

The apps looks awesome though :-)

Hi Jens, Yes, when we lived in the UK, we wouldn’t stay up to watch the whole Super Bowl either. We could record the game but we wouldn’t ever watch it because you couldn’t avoid hearing who won the game.

I can certainly understand you don’t want to stay up to watch a game when you aren’t a fan of the sport.

The NFL was bringing games to the UK when we lived there, but the tickets were expensive and impossible to get. I wonder if NFL football will expand beyond the US someday.

Could it be a sign that I’m getting old that I’d rather watch the game on television and have maybe Twitter or Facebook open to chat without bringing more apps into it? (I’m afraid it might be!)

Great list…I’m always amazed by how many options there are for nearly anything these days!

Hi Patrick, Yes, it was very interesting to watch the game and be able to check in with social media, especially during the blackout. I don’t think it’s a sign you’re getting old that you only want to use social media when watching the game. After all, just a few short years ago, checking in on social media during the Super Bowl wouldn’t have even been possible!

Technology is just amazing. The fact that you can watch the Super Bowl from your phone if needed amazes me. We have come a long way. Also, NFL mobile is awesome, updated regularly, very informative.

Carolyn Nicander Mohr February 6, 2013 at 6:26 pm

Hi Len, Welcome to The Wonder of Tech! Yes, it is amazing how far we’ve come. To be able to watch the Super Bowl from your phone is very cool, though probably only useful if you’re unable to get to a TV.

I wonder how we will be watching the Big Game 10 years from now?
